40mm white carbon fibre racing chronograph, case profile

40MM · LAYERED CARBON FIBRE · AUTOMATIC

Fifty Grams On The Wrist

A 40mm automatic chronograph that weighs about a third of what your hand expects.

Lift it once and something does not add up. The case fills your hand the way a serious watch should — 40mm across, deep enough to read as substantial — and then the weight simply is not there. Around 50 grams, complete with strap.

That is the carbon. Sheets of fibre, stacked and pressed into a solid block, then cut away until only a watch case remains. Lighter than aluminium. Stronger than steel. It will not rust, it will not corrode, and it warms to your skin in seconds instead of sitting cold on the wrist.

Inside it is fully mechanical — an automatic movement wound by the motion of your arm, with three working chronograph registers and no battery to replace.

White dial with orange tachymeter bezel and racing tricolour registers

THE DIAL, THE CRYSTAL, THE STRAP

A Racing Tricolour On A White Field

Three working registers, a sweeping yellow chronograph hand, and a tachymeter that reads speed straight off the bezel.

The white dial is the quiet part. Everything laid over it is not. Green and red split the face in a racing tricolour. A yellow chronograph hand sweeps the full circumference, so a running stopwatch is readable from across a room. The orange tachymeter ring converts elapsed seconds into speed over a fixed distance.

Over the top sits a sapphire-coated, anti-reflective crystal — the dial stays legible at any angle, and it resists the scratches an everyday watch collects.

The strap is imported nylon on the face, genuine cowhide on the skin side, closed with a hook-and-loop fastener and a matched carbon fibre buckle. No pin holes, so it sits exactly where you want it across the full wrist range.

Five Stages. One Case. No Duplicates.

How a pressed block of carbon becomes a 40mm chronograph weighing around 50 grams.

STAGE 01

The Layup

Sheets of carbon fibre are stacked by hand, each layer turned against the one beneath it. Nothing here is poured, cast or moulded — the case begins as flat material.

STAGE 02

Heat And Pressure

The stack is pressed and cured until the separate sheets stop behaving like sheets and become one solid block, denser and stiffer than the sum of its layers.

STAGE 03

Cut, Not Moulded

A 40mm case is machined out of that block. Where the cutter enters decides which layers are exposed and at what angle — which is why the striation pattern finishes differently on every single case.

STAGE 04

The Finish

Edges are worked by hand, the orange tachymeter bezel is set, the sapphire-coated crystal is fitted, and the carbon buckle is matched to the case.

STAGE 05

The Bench

Every watch is run on a timing machine before it is boxed. If the movement sits outside tolerance, it does not leave the bench and it does not ship.

2-Year Warranty. 30-Day Refund.

Wear it for a month. If it is not what you expected, send it back for a full refund — no conditions, no restocking fee.

Built From Racing DNA

An orange tachymeter bezel reads speed over distance. Green and red split the white dial in a racing tricolour. A yellow chronograph hand sweeps the full 40mm face, so a running stopwatch is legible at a glance.

A Carbon Case That Cannot Be Repeated

Layered carbon fibre is cut, not cast. Each case comes from a different depth of the pressed block, so the striation pattern on your watch exists on no other watch in the world.

Mechanical, Not Quartz

An automatic movement drives all three registers, wound by the motion of your wrist. Every piece is run on a timing machine before it ships — out of tolerance means it does not leave the bench.

Why Carbon Changed What A 40mm Watch Can Weigh

For a century a serious chronograph meant a heavy one. Steel was the only material that survived daily wear, and steel has a floor you cannot design around — mass. Every gram you removed cost you strength.

Layered carbon fibre broke that trade. Pressed into a solid block it outperforms steel on strength while weighing a fraction of it, and it resists corrosion in a way steel never has. What you get is a 40mm automatic chronograph with the presence of a heavy watch and around 50 grams of actual weight.

40MM, CUT FROM A SINGLE BLOCK

Carbon sheets stacked, pressed under heat, then machined away until only a 40mm case remains. Where the block is cut decides the pattern — which is why yours will not match anyone else's.

Fifty grams is not a typo

5.0
Jonas Petersen — customer photo

I weighed it on my kitchen scale out of disbelief: 51 grams with the strap. My steel chronograph is 148. The case fills the wrist like a serious watch and then simply refuses to weigh anything. Three registers all run true.

The striations are better in person

Malik Haddad — customer photo

The layered carbon lines down the case flank are the detail photos flatten. In sunlight they read like contour lines on a map — and knowing no other case shares them is quietly satisfying. The orange tachymeter ring sets off the white dial perfectly.

My first automatic chronograph

5.0
Ryan Whitfield — customer photo

Came from quartz watches and the sweep of the yellow chrono hand sold me in the first minute. Timing coffee pours, parking meters, my kids' races — I use the stopwatch daily purely because it is a pleasure to watch.

Light enough to forget, loud enough to notice

4.0
Andre Silva — customer photo

The racing tricolour gets comments every time I wear it. Genuinely forgot it was on during a long-haul flight — that is the carbon doing its job. Four stars because the hook-and-loop strap divides opinion at the office, though I have come around to it.

The white dial with green and red split is far more elegant in person than any photo shows. Racing heritage without the costume.

Put it on, lifted my arm, laughed out loud. Your hand braces for weight that never arrives — exactly as written.

Shipped in three days, boxed superbly. The carbon buckle matching the case is the detail that closed it for me.

Frequently Asked Questions

check_box

What exactly is the case made of?

Layered carbon fibre composite. Carbon sheets are stacked, pressed under heat into a solid block, then CNC-machined into a case. The fine parallel lines you can see on the flank are the edges of those individual sheets.

check_box

How heavy is it?

Around 50 grams complete — case, movement and strap. A comparable 40mm steel chronograph runs about 140 grams. Most owners say the weight is the first thing they notice and the fastest thing they get used to.

check_box

What movement is inside?

A Dandong 4801 automatic chronograph movement. It is mechanical and self-winding — the motion of your wrist keeps it running, so there is no battery to replace. Left off the wrist it will wind down and simply needs a few turns of the crown to restart.

check_box

Tell me about the strap.

Imported nylon on the face, genuine cowhide on the reverse, and a carbon fibre buckle matched to the case. It adjusts with a hook-and-loop closure rather than pin holes, so it sits exactly where you want it across the full wrist range.

check_box

Will the carbon pattern match the photos?

The colourway and layout will match exactly. The striation pattern will not — every case is cut from a different section of the block. That variation is the point: no two are the same.

check_box

Is it water resistant?

It handles rain, handwashing and splashes without issue. It is not built for swimming or diving, and we would not recommend showering in it.

check_box

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship within 1–2 business days. Express worldwide delivery in 5–7 business days, free on every order. Tracking is sent the moment your parcel leaves us.

check_box

What if I am not satisfied?

30 days, full refund, no conditions. Return it unworn in the original packaging and we arrange collection.
