STEEL · SKELETON DIAL · BLUE HANDS · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH

The Movement Is The Dial

No dial plate, just frosted grey bridges and gold-toned wheels, read by royal-blue hands.

Most chronographs hide the movement behind a dial. This one takes the dial away. Under the crystal are the movement's own parts: frosted grey bridges with polished edges, gold-toned wheels, small red jewels, and a large spoked wheel turning between twelve and two.

A polished coronet and three lines of white print sit at the top, and brushed steel baton markers, each tipped in black, stand on the movement at the hours. The three sub-dials are open rings of polished steel, so even inside them the movement shows.

Turn it over and a display back shows the automatic chronograph movement from behind, with its blue rotor.

THE DETAILS

Blue On Steel And Grey

Royal-blue hands, a clear tachymetre bezel and a three-row steel bracelet.

The hands are a deep, matte royal blue: the hour and minute hands carry white luminous strips, the chronograph seconds hand ends in a white-outlined arrow, and the three small sub-dial hands are blue too. On a watch that is otherwise steel and grey, they are the colour you notice first.

The bezel is clear and lightly smoked, so the brushed steel shows through it and it reads frosted grey. The tachymetre scale is printed in white: TACHYMETRE between twelve and two, then 500 round to 60.

The case is steel, brushed on top and polished on the flanks and crown guards, with a fluted screw-down crown between two screw-down pushers. The bracelet is three-row steel, brushed with polished edges, closing on a folding clasp.

Why The Skeleton Works

Take the dial off a chronograph and the movement does the talking: frosted grey bridges, gold-toned wheels, open steel sub-dials, and royal-blue hands to read it all, under a clear tachymetre bezel on a steel bracelet. It asks $1,199.

Frequently Asked Questions

check_box

What does skeleton mean here?

There is no dial plate. You look straight at the movement: frosted grey bridges, gold-toned wheels and red jewels, with the markers, sub-dial rings and hands set over it. The three sub-dials are open rings, so the movement shows through them too.

check_box

What is the case made of?

Steel, satin-brushed on top and polished on the flanks and crown guards, on a three-row steel bracelet with a folding clasp.

check_box

What is the bezel like?

Clear and lightly smoked, with a tachymetre scale printed in white. The brushed steel shows through it, so it reads frosted grey.

check_box

What movement does it have?

A self-winding automatic chronograph movement: it winds itself as you wear it and needs no battery. You can see it from the back through the display caseback, with its blue rotor.

check_box

Does it glow in the dark?

The hour and minute hands carry white luminous strips.

check_box

Does it come in other colours?

This skeleton chronograph is one of a family, with versions in rose and yellow gold, with stone-set and black bezels, and with coloured dials. Ask us and we will show you them.

check_box

Does it need a battery?

No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.

check_box

How long does delivery take?

Ten to eighteen days to most countries, fifteen to twenty-five inside Iraq. Shipping is free, tracked and insured, and you get the tracking number as soon as it leaves us.

check_box

Can I ask questions before I order?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Message the page on Facebook or Instagram — a real person answers, usually within the hour.
