Silver Snoopy Edition Super Quality Watch — on-wrist detail

APRIL 1970 · 200,000 MILES FROM EARTH

The Watch Story That Brought A Crew Home

An oxygen tank exploded. Fifteen minutes of power remained. The only timing device they trusted was on a wrist.

In April 1970, an explosion crippled Apollo 13 two hundred thousand miles from Earth. To get home, the crew had to time a critical engine burn to the second — with the spacecraft's systems dying around them, they timed it on the watch.

Seven months later, NASA presented the watch's manufacturer with the Silver Snoopy Award — the agency's highest safety honour — for the role it played in bringing three astronauts home alive.

This watch is a tribute to that mission. Every detail on it tells part of the story.

Silver Snoopy Edition Super Quality Watch — dial close-up

ONE HUNDRED PIECES · NO REPRINT

Every Detail Carries The Mission

From the award-pin dial to the trajectory stitched into the strap lining.

The silver dial carries Snoopy in his NASA spacesuit — the exact design of the original Silver Snoopy Award pin that astronauts personally present for flight safety. The hands, markers and bezel take their blue from the Apollo mission patches.

Turn the blue nylon strap over and the Apollo 13 trajectory is embossed into the lining — including the slingshot manoeuvre around the far side of the moon that got them home.

Inside is a Swiss automatic movement, self-winding through wrist motion. One hundred pieces exist. When they are gone, they are not reproduced.

From Award Pin To Wrist

How one of the greatest stories in spaceflight becomes a watch.

STAGE 01

The Story

The Silver Snoopy Award has been NASA's personal safety honour since 1968 — a sterling pin flown in space before it is ever presented. The dial art is drawn from that pin, faithfully.

STAGE 02

The Dial

Snoopy in his spacesuit is applied to a silver sunburst field, with hands and markers in mission-patch blue. The reference points are checked against the original artwork.

STAGE 03

The Strap

Blue mission nylon is woven, then the Apollo 13 flight path — slingshot and all — is embossed into the lining, where only the wearer knows it is there.

STAGE 04

The Movement

A Swiss automatic is cased and regulated — self-winding, no battery, the same principle that powered the watches worn on the Apollo missions.

STAGE 05

The Bench

Each of the 100 pieces is hand-inspected, timed and sealed into a premium presentation box. Out of tolerance means it does not ship.

2-Year Warranty. 30-Day Refund.

Wear it for a month. If it is not what you expected, send it back for a full refund — no conditions, no restocking fee.

A True Story On A Dial

Most watches carry a logo. This one carries the design of NASA's highest safety honour and the flight path of the mission that earned it. It is a conversation that starts itself.

Swiss Automatic Movement

Self-winding through the motion of your wrist — no battery, no compromise. The same principle that kept time on the Apollo flights.

Sapphire Crystal

Anti-reflective and virtually scratch-proof, so every detail of the dial stays clearly visible at every angle, for years.

Why Collectors Hold Onto This One

One hundred pieces. That is the entire production run, and it will not be repeated. Watches with a genuine story are the ones that get handed down rather than replaced — and few stories are better than the one this dial carries.

My grandfather worked on Apollo

Robert Hayes — customer photo

He was an engineer on the ground systems in the late 60s. I bought this because of the story and nearly missed how good the watch itself is — the sunburst dial, the blue hands, the trajectory hidden in the strap. It means something. Not many watches do.

The strap lining broke me

Douglas Whitaker — customer photo

Nobody sees it but you — the entire flight path, slingshot around the moon and all, embossed where it touches your wrist. That detail alone is worth it. Automatic runs strong, about +4 seconds a day on my timegrapher.

Number I received is under 40, which felt special. With only 100 made I took a second for my son's eighteenth. The presentation box is genuinely premium — no plastic anywhere.

A space nerd's honest take

Alan Prescott — customer photo

The dial art is accurate to the award pin and the blue is spot on against my mission patch replica. I would have loved a display caseback, hence four stars — but on the wrist it is everything the photos promise.

Gave it to my husband for our anniversary — he watched the Apollo 13 film that night with it on his wrist. He has not taken it off since.

The story sells it, the sapphire and the automatic keep it honest. This is a properly made watch first, and a collectible second.

Frequently Asked Questions

check_box

Is this an official NASA product?

No — it is an independent tribute piece. The dial honours the design of the Silver Snoopy Award pin and the strap carries the Apollo 13 trajectory, but it is not affiliated with or licensed by NASA. It is our homage to one of the great stories in spaceflight.

check_box

How limited is it really?

One hundred pieces, one production run. When the last one sells, the Silver Snoopy Watch is not reproduced.

check_box

What movement is inside?

A Swiss automatic — self-winding through the motion of your wrist. No battery. Leave it off for a couple of days and a few turns of the crown restarts it.

check_box

What is special about the strap?

Blue mission-grade nylon with the full Apollo 13 flight trajectory embossed into the lining — including the slingshot manoeuvre around the far side of the moon. It sits against your wrist, visible only to you.

check_box

Will the dial scratch?

It sits under an anti-reflective sapphire crystal — virtually scratch-proof in normal wear. The details stay crisp.

check_box

Is it water resistant?

Rain, handwashing and splashes are fine. It is not built for swimming or diving, and the nylon strap dries quickly if it does catch weather.

check_box

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship within 1–2 business days. Express worldwide delivery in 5–7 business days, free on every order. Tracking is sent the moment your parcel leaves us.

check_box

What if I am not satisfied?

30 days, full refund, no conditions. Return it unworn in the original packaging and we arrange collection.
