Most dials are printed. This one is built. A rose-gold oil derrick stands up off a black honeycomb mesh: a ladder tower, a walking beam across the top, a horse head at its end and a crank turning in a grey ring at nine o'clock.
The pusher on the case at two o'clock powers it. Press it and the beam rocks and the derrick works up and down, the motion of a real pumpjack drawing oil, right there on your wrist.
Round it runs the rest of the oilfield in miniature: rose-gold pipes, two red valve wheels and a small oil barrel at one o'clock. The time sits at the lower right, on a ring of Arabic numerals round an open centre that shows the movement at work.

With the silver case, the hour ring and sub-dial are slate and the barrel silver, on a blue strap or a black one. In every version the derrick and its pipework stay rose gold and the valve wheels red.

44 mm of 316L stainless steel, 12.45 mm thick, polished on every angle, then given its gold finish or left bright silver.
The Honeycomb Base
The dial starts as a black honeycomb mesh, left open so the bridges and screws beneath show through.
The Derrick
The tower, the walking beam and the horse head go in, in rose gold, standing up off the mesh in three dimensions.
Pipes, Valves And The Barrel
The rose-gold pipes are laid round the dial, the two red valve wheels set on them, and the oil barrel placed at one o'clock.
Wound, Pumped And Run
The automatic movement goes in, the pusher is pressed to check the pump works, and the watch is run and checked before it is boxed.
