Black ceramic is forgiving. A speck of dust in the powder disappears into the colour and nobody ever sees it. White hides nothing — the same speck comes out of the kiln as a grey fleck in a finished surface, and the part is thrown away.
So the powder has to be near enough pure, mixed clean, pressed to an even density from every side, and fired at well over a thousand degrees. It comes out about a quarter smaller than it went in, which means every part is cut oversize and brought back to size afterwards with diamond tooling, because nothing softer will cut fired ceramic.
That is also why a full ceramic bracelet is rare. Getting one case out of the kiln on size is work. Getting forty-odd links to shrink to the same figure, so the bracelet closes and lies flat on the wrist, is the part most makers decline to do.

There is no colour on this watch at all. The hands do the reading.
The dial is white, the case is white, the bracelet is white. The only dark on the front of the watch is the hands and the eight screws set into the bezel.
What carries a face like that is the tapisserie — a fine waffle grid stamped into the dial rather than printed on top, so it throws its own shadow. In flat light it reads as plain white. Turn your wrist under a lamp and the grid comes up across the whole dial.
The hands are outlined in black over the top of it, and they are the reason the watch is still easy to read at a glance. Everything else on the face is texture. The time is the one thing given contrast.
How A Ceramic Watch Is Made

The Powder
Zirconium oxide is milled to a fine powder and mixed with a binder. For white it has to be close to pure — one dark speck survives the kiln and shows up as a fleck in a finished face.
Pressed Solid
The powder is pressed into rough blanks under even pressure from every direction, so the density is the same throughout. An uneven blank cracks later, in the kiln, after all the work is already in it.
The Kiln
Fired at well over a thousand degrees, the blank shrinks by about a quarter. Everything is cut oversize to land on size afterwards, and every bracelet link has to shrink to the same figure.
Diamond Tooling
Fired ceramic is too hard for ordinary cutters, so the brushed tops and the polished bevels are ground in with diamond. It is slow work, and it is why the finish holds.

The tapisserie grid is stamped and the markers applied, then the movement is cased, the eight bezel screws aligned and the clasp checked by hand before the watch is boxed.
