Steel octagonal diver with a blue dial on a dark walnut desk beside a fountain pen

42MM STEEL · OCTAGONAL BEZEL · INNER DIVE SCALE

The Timing Ring Sits Inside The Glass

Which is the whole reason there is a second crown at ten o'clock.

On almost every dive watch the timing ring is the outer bezel, and you turn it with your fingers. That also means a sleeve, a car door or a desk edge can turn it for you without asking, and the reading you set ten minutes ago is quietly wrong.

Here the scale is a separate blue ring mounted under the crystal. The crown at ten o'clock drives it through a small geared shaft in the case wall, so you set it deliberately, a click at a time, and nothing outside the watch can move it. Line the triangle up with the minute hand and the ring counts elapsed minutes off the dial itself.

It costs more to build than a bezel that sits on top: two crowns means two sets of gaskets, two screw-down threads and a gear train running through the side of the case. It is the part of this watch that is genuinely harder to make than it looks.

BLUE MÉGA TAPISSERIE · BRUSHED STEEL

One Blue Across Three Materials

Stamped metal, lacquer and moulded rubber, matched until they read as one colour.

Matching a colour across three materials is where most coloured watches come apart. Metal takes a lacquer one way, a printed ring takes it another, and rubber has its own depth, so the strap ends up a shade off the dial and the whole thing looks assembled from parts.

The dial is the hardest of the three. The waffle grid is stamped into the blank at the larger scale, then colour goes over the relief — so the blue is pale on every raised edge and deep in every trough, and it moves from light to dark as you turn your wrist rather than sitting flat.

The steel is what lets that work. Brushed tops, polished bevels and eight black screw heads give the eye somewhere neutral to rest, so the blue reads as one strong colour on a quiet frame instead of three blues competing.

How This One Is Put Together

Five stages, and the two that matter are done by hand.

STAGE 01

The Octagon

The case and bezel are machined out of solid stainless steel, and every face is cut flat before any finishing touches it.

STAGE 02

Brushed, Then Bevelled

Tops are grained in one direction and the bevels are polished bright. The line where they meet is drawn by hand and has to stay straight around all eight corners.

STAGE 03

The Waffle Stamped

The dial blank is pressed with the oversized grid, then lacquered blue so every square keeps its edge under the colour.

STAGE 04

The Inner Ring Geared

The diving scale is seated on a toothed ring inside the case and meshed to the crown at ten. Both crowns get gaskets and screw-down threads.

STAGE 05

Closed And Checked

The sapphire back is screwed down over the movement, bezel screws are aligned, and ring rotation, date change and timing are checked before boxing.

2-Year Warranty. 30-Day Refund.

Wear it for a month. If it is not what you expected, send it back for a full refund — no conditions, no restocking fee.

A Blue That Moves

The stamped grid catches light square by square, so the dial runs from pale to deep as your wrist turns.

Two Crowns, Two Jobs

One sets the time. The other turns the diving scale under the crystal, where nothing outside can move it.

Why This One Gets Picked Up First

A steel diver with a geared internal scale and an open back is a boutique-counter piece with a five-figure ticket and a waiting list behind it. This keeps the octagon, the blue waffle dial, the second crown and the display back, and asks $999.

Frequently Asked Questions

check_box

What is the second crown at ten for?

It turns the blue diving scale inside the crystal. Set the triangle against the minute hand and the ring counts elapsed minutes for you. Because it sits under the glass, nothing can knock it out of position, and it screws down like the main crown.

check_box

Does it need a battery?

No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist, and you can watch the rotor doing it through the sapphire back. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.

check_box

The dial is marked 300m. Can I dive with it?

No. That marking belongs to the model line rather than to this watch. Treat it as rated to 30m — rain, hand-washing and a splash are fine. Keep it out of pools and the sea.

check_box

What is a Méga Tapisserie dial?

A grid of raised squares stamped into the dial blank, run at a much larger scale than the standard waffle. Each square catches light on its own edge, so the blue reads as texture from across a table instead of detail you have to lean in for.

check_box

How does 42mm wear?

It wears big. The octagon spreads wider than a round case of the same number, and a diver has depth to it. On a wrist from about 17cm up it looks right, and the rubber strap wraps closely rather than letting the case perch.

check_box

Can I change the strap?

Yes. It comes on blue rubber with a steel folding clasp, and the strap unscrews at the lugs if you want a different colour later.

check_box

How long does delivery take?

Ten to eighteen days to most countries, fifteen to twenty-five inside Iraq. Shipping is free, tracked and insured, and you get the tracking number as soon as it leaves us.

check_box

Can I ask questions before I order?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Message the page on Facebook or Instagram — a real person answers, usually within the hour.
