White octagonal chronograph with a black carbon bezel and a black dial on a dark walnut desk beside a fountain pen

WHITE CASE · FORGED CARBON BEZEL · BLACK DIAL · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH

Fine Black Lines On A White Case

A white case built up in layers, under an octagonal bezel of black cloud-pattern carbon.

Look at the side of the case and you see how it is made. It is white, built up in layers, and thin black lines run the full length of each flank and straight across the end of each lug, parallel and evenly spaced. The top face is satin white, so the lines show only where the case turns away.

The bezel is black carbon fibre of the cloud-pattern kind. Ordinary carbon fibre is only black; this one shows whitish veining through the black when the light catches it. It is cut to eight sides and held by eight polished steel screws, one at each corner, with nothing printed on it.

The crown and both pushers are black ceramic, so the black on the outside of the case does not fade with wear.

THE DIAL

A Black Dial In A White Ring

Steel markers, two black counters, one ringed in red, and yellow hands.

The dial is matte black inside a broad white outer ring, and the ring carries the scale: fine black strokes along its edge and longer ones inside them, with no numerals to crowd it.

The hour markers are applied polished steel filled with white lume, long batons reaching from the white ring into the black, a double marker at twelve and small framed markers at three, six and nine.

The counter at nine runs to 30, the one at three to 12, both black with white numerals. The counter at six has a black centre inside a red ring. The hour and minute hands are polished steel with white lume, while the central chronograph hand and all three counter hands are yellow. The date sits in a polished steel frame at half past four.

Why The Red Works On White

Most white sports watches are white all over. This one keeps the white for the case, draws it in fine black lines, and puts the colour on the dial and the strap: yellow hands, one red ring, red canvas. It asks $949.

Frequently Asked Questions

check_box

What are the black lines on the case?

They are the layer lines of the case material, running the full length of each flank and straight across the end of each lug, parallel and evenly spaced. The top face of the case is satin white.

check_box

Is the bezel carbon fibre?

Yes. It is black carbon fibre of the cloud-pattern kind, which shows whitish veining through the black when the light catches it, where ordinary carbon fibre is only black. It is held by eight polished steel screws and carries no print.

check_box

What are the crown and pushers made of?

Black ceramic, chosen so the black parts on the outside of the case keep their colour after long wear.

check_box

What do the counters show?

The counter at nine is marked 10, 20 and 30, the one at three 3, 6, 9 and 12, and the one at six, ringed in red, 20, 40 and 60. The pushers beside the crown start, stop and reset the yellow central chronograph hand.

check_box

How does the strap fasten?

It is one piece of red woven canvas with black stitching. It threads through a loop and closes back on itself with hook-and-loop.

check_box

Does it come in other versions?

Yes. The collection has the same octagonal chronograph in other colours, among them a sky-blue layered case and black carbon cases with cream and grey dials.

check_box

Does it need a battery?

No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.

check_box

How long does delivery take?

Ten to eighteen days to most countries, fifteen to twenty-five inside Iraq. Shipping is free, tracked and insured, and you get the tracking number as soon as it leaves us.

check_box

Can I ask questions before I order?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Message the page on Facebook or Instagram — a real person answers, usually within the hour.
