SKY BLUE CASE · FORGED CARBON BEZEL · SKY BLUE DIAL · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH
Sky Blue In Layers, Carbon On Top
A sky-blue case cut through with thin black lines, under an octagonal bezel of black cloud-pattern carbon.
Look at the side of this case and you see how it is made: sky blue in fine layers, with a thin black line between each one. The lines run the length of both flanks and across the bevelled ends of the lugs, and the flat top is satin-brushed.
The bezel is black carbon fibre with a cloud pattern. Ordinary carbon is only black; this one shows reflective, whitish veins in the light, different across every face of the octagon. Eight polished steel hexagonal screws hold it to the case.
The crown and the two pushers are black ceramic, chosen so the black parts on the outside of the case do not fade with long wear.

THE DIAL
A Sky Blue Dial With Black Counters
Steel batons, a double one at twelve, three black counters printed in white and a sky-blue chronograph hand.
The dial is sky blue with a fine grained finish, a shade lighter than the case. A fine black minute track runs round its edge, a longer stroke at every minute and four short ones between.
The hour markers are applied polished-steel batons with faceted ends and white lume, doubled at twelve and short at three, six and nine. The date sits between four and five in a polished steel frame.
The three counters are black, each in a dark-grey grooved ring printed with white strokes and white numerals. The hour and minute hands are polished steel with white lume, the counter hands slim polished steel, and the long central chronograph hand is sky blue.

Why The Sky Blue Works
Most octagonal sports watches come in steel or black. This one puts the colour in the case itself, sky blue in layers with black lines between them, keeps the bezel, crown and pushers black, and matches the dial to the case. It asks $949.
THE SKY BLUE SPEC
Layered sky-blue case, black cloud-pattern carbon bezel on steel screws, sky-blue dial with steel markers and black counters, black ceramic crown and pushers, light-blue canvas strap. Inspected by hand, boxed for presentation, and covered for two years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the side of the case have black lines?
Why does the side of the case have black lines?
The case is built up in fine sky-blue layers, and the thin black lines are the edges between them. They run along both flanks and across the ends of the lugs, so the side of the watch shows how it is made.
Is the bezel carbon?
Is the bezel carbon?
Yes. It is black carbon fibre with a cloud pattern: in the light it shows reflective, whitish veins through the black, where ordinary carbon fibre is only black. Eight polished steel hexagonal screws hold it to the case.
Why are the crown and pushers black?
Why are the crown and pushers black?
They are black ceramic, chosen so the black parts on the outside of the case keep their colour after long wear, and they match the black bezel.
What do the counters show?
What do the counters show?
The counter at nine is marked 10, 20 and 30, the one at three 12, 3, 6 and 9, and the one at six 20, 40 and 60. The pushers beside the crown start, stop and reset the sky-blue chronograph hand, and the date sits between four and five.
How thick is it?

12.4 mm, with a 4401 automatic chronograph movement inside: self-winding from the wrist, no battery.

Yes. The same octagonal chronograph comes with a black carbon case and a cream or grey dial, and with a white layered case and a black dial.
Does it need a battery?
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.
