YELLOW RUBBER STRAP · RED STONE BEZEL · BLACK DIAL · QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH
Lemon Yellow Under Red Stones
A bright yellow rubber strap on a gold-tone case, under a bezel of thirty-six red baguette-cut stones.
The strap is what you see first: smooth, matte rubber in a bright lemon yellow, with a raised band running down the middle of its face. At each end it slides in under a polished gold-tone block, so the colour runs straight into the case.
The case is 316L stainless steel in a polished gold tone, 43 mm across, with plain lugs and no stones of its own. All the stones are on top: thirty-six red baguette-cut stones, square-cut and set edge to edge round the bezel, nine to each quarter, flashing orange as the light moves across them.
The crown and the two pushers are fluted gold-tone, the pushers finished with smooth polished caps. The strap closes on a gold-tone folding clasp.

THE DIAL
A Black Dial With Orange Stones
Orange baguette markers, small red-orange squares at three, six and nine, and three black counters printed in white.
The dial is a smooth black, edged with a fine white minute track: a longer tick at every minute and four short ones between. A gold-tone flange, engraved all the way round, frames it under the glass.
The hour markers are stones too: long orange baguettes in gold-tone frames at eight of the hours, and small red-orange squares at three, six and nine, the one at six sitting at the very edge of the dial. An applied gold-tone emblem marks twelve.
The three counters are black, the same black as the dial, each printed in white. The hour and minute hands are gold-tone with white luminous strips and black tips, and a thin gold-tone chronograph hand sweeps from the centre.

Why The Yellow Works
Most stone-set gold chronographs come on black leather or a metal bracelet. This one keeps the red stones and the black dial and puts it on bright lemon-yellow rubber, the brightest strap of the set. It asks $499.
THE YELLOW SPEC
