DARK GREEN RUBBER · RED STONE BEZEL · BLACK DIAL · QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH
Bottle Green Under Gold And Red
A deep green rubber strap beneath a gold-tone case and a full ring of red baguette-cut stones.
Start with the strap: smooth matte rubber in a deep bottle green, never bright and never minty. A raised flat band runs down its centre between two lower channels, so its edge shows a clean stepped profile, and it fits flush to the case behind a gold-tone end piece, brushed at the sides with a polished block in the middle.
Above it sits a 43 mm case of 316L stainless steel in a polished gold tone. Thirty-six red baguette-cut stones circle the bezel, square-ended and set side by side, nine to each quarter, with a stone at twelve, three, six and nine.
The strap closes on a gold-tone folding clasp, brushed on its flat faces with polished bevelled edges, so the gold carries all the way round the wrist.

THE DIAL
A Black Dial With Orange Stones
Orange baguette markers in gold frames, three black counters printed in white and gold-tone hands.
The dial is plain black with a smooth finish. A fine white minute track runs round its edge, a longer stroke at every minute and four short ones between, inside a brushed gold flange.
The hour markers are orange baguette stones, lighter and warmer than the red of the bezel, each in a thin gold frame: long at most hours, small and square at three, six and nine.
The three counters are black, printed in white numerals and strokes. The hour and minute hands are faceted gold-tone batons with white lume, the counter hands slim gold pointers, and a long thin gold chronograph hand with an arrow tip sweeps the whole dial.

Why The Bottle Green Works
Most stone-set chronographs come on black leather or a metal bracelet. This one keeps the gold case and the red stones, sets them over a black dial with orange markers, and puts the whole watch on a deep bottle-green rubber strap. It asks $499.
THE BOTTLE GREEN SPEC
Gold-tone steel case, a ring of red baguette stones, black dial with orange stone markers and black counters, dark bottle-green rubber strap on a gold folding clasp. Inspected by hand, boxed for presentation, and covered for two years.
