40MM GOLD · GREEN BAGUETTE BEZEL · CHRONOGRAPH
The Dial Is A Slice Of Stone, Not A Coat Of Paint
Banded green, and no two of them cut the same.
Most green dials are lacquer over brass, and lacquer is uniform by definition: the same green in the middle as at the edge, on every watch that leaves the bench.
This one is stone. Darker and lighter seams run across it wherever the block ran, so the dial you get is not the dial in this photograph and not the dial on the next watch either. Tilt it and the bands move through the light.
It is the kind of detail that costs time rather than material — a stone dial has to be cut, matched and set without cracking, and the ones that crack do not become watches.

THE SETTING
The Bezel Was Matched To The Dial, Not Just Placed Near It
Green baguettes the whole way round, in a case set with brilliants.
Rectangular green baguettes are channel-set shoulder to shoulder the whole way round the bezel, chosen against the dial's own green rather than ordered by the bag. Sitting flat, they throw a wider, calmer flash than round stones do.
The case is worked as well — round brilliants run over the lugs, across the crown guards and down both flanks — so the watch is as busy from the side as it is from the front.
Underneath all of it is a proper chronograph: a screw-down crown between two pushers, three counters in fine gold rings, and a display back that shows the movement turning. The strap is green alligator on a gold folding clasp, stitched in the dial's own colour.
How This One Is Put Together
Gold first, then stone, then the dial that decides itself.
The Case
A 40mm yellow gold chronograph case, finished completely before a single stone goes near it.
The Bezel
Rectangular green baguettes are channel-set shoulder to shoulder the whole way round, matched to the dial's green.
The Case Setting
Round brilliants are set over the lugs, across the crown guards and down both flanks of the case.
The Stone Dial
A slice of banded green stone is cut, matched and set — the seams in it are whatever the block gave, and no two dials repeat.
The Strap
Green alligator is stitched in the dial's own green and fitted to a gold folding clasp.

Why The Dial Is The Expensive Part
A matched stone dial under a matched stone bezel is slow, sorted work and it is priced for it. This one asks $999.
THE GOLD AND GREEN SPEC
40mm yellow gold case set with brilliants, green baguette bezel the whole way round, banded green stone dial with three gold counters, green alligator strap and a gold folding clasp. Hand-inspected, boxed for presentation, backed for two years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my dial look exactly like the photograph?
Will my dial look exactly like the photograph?
Close, but not identical, and that is the point. The dial is stone, so its banding is whatever the block gave. No two are the same.
Are the bezel stones green all the way round?
Are the bezel stones green all the way round?
Yes. Rectangular green baguettes, channel-set shoulder to shoulder the whole way round, with no mixed colours anywhere.
Is the case solid gold or plated?
Is the case solid gold or plated?
It is an 18K gold-clad case, which is what gives it the full, even colour. It is not a thin electroplate.
Does it come on a bracelet?
Does it come on a bracelet?
No — this one is on green alligator with a gold folding clasp, stitched to match the dial.
Can I see the movement?
Can I see the movement?
Yes. The caseback is a display back, so the chronograph movement is visible turning.
Can I swim in it?
Can I swim in it?
No. It is rated for splashes and rain, not for swimming or showering, and a stone dial is not something to test.
Does it need a battery?
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.
