FORGED CARBON · OCTAGONAL · GREY DIAL · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH
Cloud-Pattern Carbon, Eight Steel Screws
Black carbon fibre veined in whitish grey, cut into an octagon and fixed with polished steel.
Ordinary black carbon fibre is only black. This case is cloud-pattern carbon: catch it in the light and reflective whitish veins show through the black, swirling over the flanks, down the sides and across the tops of the lugs. No two cases carry the same pattern.
The bezel is an octagon of the same carbon, its outer edge cut back in a broad matte black chamfer, with a polished steel hexagonal screw at each of its eight corners. The crown is a brushed steel hexagon and the two pushers are polished steel buttons on hexagonal collars, so the steel of the bezel carries on down the side.
Inside is an integrated 4401 automatic chronograph movement, and the whole watch is 12.4 mm thick.

THE DIAL
A Grey Dial With One Blue Counter
Steel batons, two black counters, and a sky-blue one at six.
The dial is a plain matte grey with a fine, even grain, edged with a black chapter ring of fine strokes.
The hour markers are applied polished-steel batons with faceted ends, filled with white lume and doubled at twelve. The hour and minute hands are polished steel to match, with white lume down their centres.
The counters at three and nine are black, with white numerals and slim blue hands. The counter at six has a sky-blue centre inside a black ring, and the central chronograph hand is the same blue from tip to tail. The date sits between four and five in a polished steel frame.
How The Grey Dial Comes Together
A grey dial, three counters and a blue hand, fitted to a black cloud-pattern carbon case.
The Grey Dial
A plain matte grey dial with a fine grain and a black chapter ring round its edge.
Three Counters
Two black counters go in at three and nine, and one with a sky-blue centre in a black ring at six.
Steel Markers
Applied polished-steel batons filled with white lume are set at the hours, doubled at twelve, with a steel-framed date between four and five.
The Octagonal Bezel
The cloud-pattern carbon bezel goes on, fixed with eight polished steel hexagonal screws.
Into The Carbon Case
The steel and blue hands go on, the dial is closed into the black carbon case, and the 4401 automatic chronograph movement drives it all.

Why The Blue Works On Grey
Grey and black alone would make a quiet watch. One sky-blue counter, a blue chronograph hand and a light-blue strap are all it takes to lift it, and the polished steel screws, crown and pushers keep the black carbon from reading flat. It asks $949.
THE GREY SPEC
Black cloud-pattern carbon case, octagonal carbon bezel with steel screws, grey dial with steel batons, two black counters and one sky-blue counter, steel crown and pushers, light-blue canvas strap. Inspected by hand, boxed for presentation, and covered for two years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the case painted or coated?
Is the case painted or coated?
No. It is carbon fibre in a cloud pattern, and the whitish veins are in the material itself, showing as the light catches it. A coating would hide them, and no two cases carry the same pattern.
Are the crown and pushers black?

Yes. The collection has other octagonal carbon chronographs, among them a cream dial on black carbon, a sky-blue case and a white case.
