40.8MM FORGED CARBON · 70 GRAMS · AUTOMATIC
Seventy Grams, Strap And Clasp Included
Case and bezel are forged carbon, far lighter than steel. On the scale, the complete watch reads 70.0 grams.
Weight is what you notice about a watch at the end of a day: the case that has slid round to the inside of the wrist, the mark the clasp left behind, the cuff that kept catching on it. A steel sports watch of this size carries a good deal more of it.
This one weighs 70.0 grams with its strap and clasp on. The case and bezel are forged carbon, CNC-cut from a single piece, and carbon weighs a fraction of what steel does for the same volume. At 8.1 mm thick, it sits close to the wrist and stays on top of it.
The result is a proper automatic sports watch, 40.8 mm across, that you can wear from morning to night and forget about in between.

THE DIAL
Orange On Black, And Not One Numeral
Batons, a stroke for every minute, and a globe grid raised out of the black.
The dial is matte black and embossed with a globe grid: flat horizontal bands crossed by lines that bow outward toward the edges, like meridians on a map of the world. The grid stops just short of the minute track, so the edge of the dial stays clean.
There are no hour numerals. Each hour is an orange baton in a blackened frame — doubled at twelve, and left out at three, where a small dark-framed date window shows the day in orange on black. Between the batons, an orange stroke marks every single minute.
The hands are blackened and sword-tipped with orange luminous fill, and the slim seconds hand is orange down to its round centre disc. Everything that tells the time is orange. Everything else is black.
How A Seventy-Gram Case Is Made
The weight is settled by the material, long before the watch is put together.
Carbon Built Up In Layers
Carbon fibre and resin go into the mould layer on layer. Those layers are what later show as the fine horizontal lines along the flanks.
Pressed And Cured
The mould closes under heat and pressure until the resin sets hard. The fibres settle where they will, and that is where the grey marbling on the bezel comes from.
Cut From One Piece
The case is CNC-cut from the cured block in a single piece — no plates joined, no seams. Carbon wears cutting tools down quickly, so the passes are slow and shallow.
Left Matte, Left Honest
The flanks and lugs are finished matte, with their layer lines left in view rather than covered. The bezel keeps its grey-on-black marbling exactly as it cured.
Onto The Scale
Dial, hands, movement, strap and clasp go on, and the finished watch is weighed. It reads 70.0 grams.

What Seventy Grams Changes
Machining a case out of solid carbon is slow work and hard on the tools. What it buys is a complete automatic sports watch that weighs 70 grams. It arrives checked and boxed, at $999.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it really weigh 70 grams?
Does it really weigh 70 grams?
Yes — 70.0 grams on the scale, with the strap and the clasp on. The case and bezel are forged carbon, which is much lighter than steel at the same size, and that is where most of the difference comes from.
If it is that light, is it fragile?
If it is that light, is it fragile?
No. Forged carbon is highly impact-resistant and takes the knocks of an ordinary day in its stride. What it dislikes is a sharp blow against a hard edge — avoid that, as you would with any good watch, and it will wear well.
Why is there no baton at three?
Why is there no baton at three?
That is where the date window sits. It is small and dark-framed, and shows the date in orange on a black disc, so it reads as part of the dial rather than a gap in it.
What is the pattern on the bezel?
What is the pattern on the bezel?
The grain of the carbon itself. It forms while the material is pressed and cured, and comes out as grey swirls on black, a little like contour rings on a map. No other bezel carries the same pattern as yours.
Will it fit under a shirt cuff?
Will it fit under a shirt cuff?
Yes. It is 8.1 mm thick and 40.8 mm across, and the rubber strap follows the wrist closely, so a shirt cuff usually closes over it without catching.
How does the strap fasten?
How does the strap fasten?
With a glossy black double folding clasp. The strap itself is bright orange rubber moulded with a raised grid of small rectangles, echoing the grid on the dial.
Does it need a battery?
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.
How long does delivery take?
How long does delivery take?
Ten to eighteen days to most countries, fifteen to twenty-five inside Iraq. Shipping is free, tracked and insured, and you get the tracking number as soon as it leaves us.
