A Yellow Case That Shows Its Layers
Fine black lines run along the flanks, straight and even, where the layers of the carbon meet.
Most yellow watches are yellow on the surface: paint or a coating over something else, and a hard knock on a corner shows what is underneath.
This case is yellow forged carbon, yellow through the material. It is built up in layers, and where the case is cut across them the edges surface as thin black lines. Along the flanks they run fine and parallel, like the contour lines on a map; round the lugs and the crown guards they step and bend. The lines on your case will fall differently from the ones in the photographs.
The bezel is black forged carbon marbled in grey, with the tachymeter scale printed in white and a small yellow triangle beside each number. The crown and both pushers are black and knurled, so the only yellow on the right flank is the case itself.

THE DIAL
Three Black Counters On Golden Yellow
A satin yellow dial, a shade deeper than the case, with its counters set in black.
The dial is a warm golden yellow with a fine satin finish. Next to the brighter yellow of the case it reads a touch deeper, so the two yellows sit together without merging.
Three counters are set into it, at three, six and nine o'clock. Each is black, with fine circular grooves that catch the light as the watch turns, white numerals and pale yellow strokes. There are no metal rings round them: the black meets the yellow directly.
The hour markers are applied, framed in gunmetal grey and filled in black, pointed at their inner end. The hands are gunmetal with cream lume, and a fine black track of strokes runs round the edge of the dial.
How The Yellow Dial Comes Together
A satin dial, three black counters and a black bezel, fitted inside a yellow carbon case.
The Yellow Face
The dial is finished in a warm golden yellow with a fine satin texture, a shade deeper than the case it will sit in.
The Track
A fine black track of strokes is printed round the edge, so the chronograph hand has a scale to read against.

The counters at three, six and nine are set in black, each with fine circular grooves, white numerals and pale yellow strokes.
Markers And Hands
The applied markers go on, framed in gunmetal grey and filled in black, then the gunmetal hands with their cream lume.
Into The Yellow Case
The dial is fitted into the yellow carbon case under the black carbon bezel, with the automatic chronograph movement behind it.

Why It Stands Out In Yellow
Yellow carbon has to be yellow from the first layer, because nothing is sprayed over it afterwards. Put a golden-yellow dial inside it and black counters on the dial, and the colour holds from the edge of the case to the centre of the face. It asks $999.
THE YELLOW CARBON SPEC
Yellow forged carbon case, black carbon bezel, golden-yellow dial with three black counters, black canvas strap with yellow stitching. Inspected by hand, boxed for presentation, and covered for two years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the yellow case painted?
Is the yellow case painted?
No. It is yellow forged carbon, yellow through the material. Look along the side and you will see thin black lines following the case, the edges of its layers. Paint would cover them.
Are the case and the dial the same yellow?
Are the case and the dial the same yellow?
Not quite. The case is a bright lemon yellow; the dial is a warmer golden yellow with a satin finish, a shade deeper, so the face reads as its own surface inside the case.
Why is the bezel black?
Why is the bezel black?
To frame the dial. A black forged-carbon bezel between the yellow case and the yellow dial draws a dark ring round the face, and its small yellow triangles tie it back to the case.
What are the three counters for?
What are the three counters for?
They belong to the chronograph. The pushers beside the crown start, stop and reset the central chronograph hand. The counter at three is marked to 30 and the one at nine to 12; the one at six is marked to 60.
How is the strap made?
How is the strap made?
It is black woven canvas with a fine basket-weave texture, stitched in yellow down both long edges, so the strap carries the colour of the case without being yellow itself.
Does it come in other colours?
Does it come in other colours?
Yes. Our forged-carbon chronographs also come in black, white, red and turquoise cases, each with its own dial. This one is the yellow.
Does it need a battery?
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left off for a couple of days it stops, and a minute back on the wrist restarts it.
How long does delivery take?
