White Carbon, Built Up In Layers
Fine dark lines run along the flanks and down the lugs, where the layers of the carbon meet.
Most white watches are white on the surface: paint or a coating over something else, and a hard knock on a corner shows what is underneath.
This case is white forged carbon, white through the material. It is built up in layers, and where the case is cut across them the edges surface as thin dark lines. Along the flanks they run fine and parallel, and down the sides of the lugs they stack like thin plates; over the tops of the lugs they bend and spread. The lines on your case will fall differently from the ones in the photographs.
The bezel is the only dark part of the case: black forged carbon marbled in grey, with the tachymeter scale printed in white and one line in red. The crown guards are polished bright, and the crown and both pushers are polished steel.

THE DIAL
Grey And White, With One Counter In Red
A two-tone dial, two black counters, and one ringed in solid red.
The dial is two tones. The centre is matt slate grey with a fine grain; around it runs a broad white ring with a black minute track at its edge. The applied steel hour markers sit across the line where the two meet, pointed at their inner end and filled with pale lume.
At three and nine the counters are black, cut with fine circular grooves, with short red strokes between their numbers. The one at three carries a slim red hand. The counter at six is the one you see first: a solid red ring with white numbers around a black grooved centre, and a yellow hand.
The long chronograph hand is yellow too, and it crosses the whole dial, from the minute track down to the red counter. Everything else is steel, white and grey, so the red and the yellow have nothing to compete with.
How The Red Counter Dial Comes Together
A two-tone dial, three counters and a yellow hand, fitted inside a white carbon case.
Two Tones
The dial starts as a matt slate-grey centre inside a broad white ring. The line between them has to run true all the way round, because every hour marker sits across it.
The Minute Track
A minute track of fine black strokes goes round the outer edge of the white ring.
Three Counters
The counters at three and nine are black, grooved and marked with red strokes. The one at six is ringed in solid red around a black centre, with its numbers in white.
Steel And Yellow
The applied steel markers go on with their pale lume, then the steel hour and minute hands, a red hand at three, and yellow hands at six and in the centre.
Into The White Case
The dial is fitted into the white carbon case under the black bezel, with the automatic chronograph movement behind it.

Why The Red Counter Works
White carbon has to be white from the first layer, because nothing is sprayed over it afterwards. Put it round a quiet grey and white dial, and one red counter and a yellow hand are all the colour it needs. It asks $999.
THE RED COUNTER SPEC
White forged carbon case, black carbon bezel, grey and white dial with two black counters and a red one at six, black canvas strap with red stitching. Inspected by hand, boxed for presentation, and covered for two years.
