40MM · TURQUOISE CASE · BLACK CARBON BEZEL · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH
The Colour Is A Ring, Not A Scatter
A white dial with the turquoise held in one band around its edge.
Most coloured dials spread the colour about — a hand here, a line of text there, a counter ring. It reads as busy from a foot away, and from across a room it reads as nothing at all.
This one puts every bit of its turquoise in a single band around the outside of the dial, carrying the minute track. The centre stays white. So the watch reads white first and coloured second, and it holds that order at any distance.
The band matches the case, which is turquoise through the composite rather than painted over steel.

THE BEZEL
The Darkest Part Sits On Top Of The Brightest
Black forged carbon over a turquoise case.
The tachymeter bezel is black forged carbon with white numerals — the darkest thing on the watch, sitting directly on the brightest. There is no gradient between them and no third colour trying to soften the meeting.
The grey marbling in the carbon is formed in the press, so it runs through the material and differs on every watch made.
The case flanks are brushed vertically, fine enough that the light breaks into lines rather than one flat highlight.
Making A Case That Is Coloured All The Way Down
Colour cured into a composite behaves nothing like colour sprayed onto steel.
Pigment Blended
Turquoise pigment is mixed into the resin system until the colour is even. An uneven blend cures into a case with light and dark zones, and that case is thrown away.
Moulded Under Heat
The case blank is formed under pressure and heat until it sets solid. The colour is now structural — there is no layer that can lift.
Flanks Brushed
The case sides are brushed vertically by hand. The lines are fine and parallel, and they are what the light lands on when the watch is on a wrist.
Bezel Pressed Separately
The tachymeter bezel is forged from chopped carbon fibre in its own mould, so its grey swirl is unrelated to the case and unique to this watch.
Movement And Test
The automatic chronograph movement goes in, the crown and pushers are fitted, and the watch is run and regulated before boxing.

Why It Reads As Expensive
A coloured case is easy to promise and hard to do, because the pigment has to survive curing without going patchy. This one carries it right through the case and again around the dial, where it does the work of a minute track rather than sitting there looking pretty. Finished, boxed, and $949.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the turquoise paint?
Is the turquoise paint?
No. It is pigment cured into the composite, so the colour is the case itself. Paint sits on top of a case and chips at the lug first; there is nothing here to chip off.
Is the bezel the same material as the case?
Is the bezel the same material as the case?
No — the case is turquoise composite and the bezel is black forged carbon. They are pressed separately and brought together, which is why the grey marbling in the bezel is unrelated to the case.
Does it need a battery?
Does it need a battery?
No. It is a high-precision automatic chronograph — the movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. Wear it and it runs.
Will two of these look the same?
Will two of these look the same?
No. Forged carbon is pressed from chopped fibre, so the swirl forms differently every time. The bezel pattern on your watch exists once.
How big is it on the wrist?

40mm across and 12.4mm thick, which sits comfortably on most wrists and fits under a cuff.
What is the strap made of?
What is the strap made of?
Black woven man-made fibre with a single line of turquoise stitching down each side. It breathes, it is soft from the first day, and it dries fast.
