40MM STEEL · FORGED CARBON BEZEL · CHRONOGRAPH
You Can See Straight Through The Lugs
Each lug is an open frame with a window in it, and a star screw in the gap.
Every watch you have ever owned hides its lugs — four solid stubs holding the strap on, doing a job nobody looks at.
This one takes them out. Each lug is cut into an open frame with a window straight through it and a dark six-point screw seated in the opening, so from the side you are looking through the watch rather than at it. It is lighter in the hand and it is unmistakable across a table.
It is also the reason this case costs what it costs. Removing material from the one part that carries all the load means machining it from a solid block and finishing the inside of an opening most makers never have to touch.

THE DIAL
A Counter Made Of Crystal Shards
The register at six is openworked silver, with a gold cross turning over it.
Two of the three counters are what you expect: brushed silver discs with printed scales, sunk into a gloss black dial. The third is not a disc at all.
The register at six o'clock is openworked into a lattice of silver shards — cut, not printed — with a small gold cross turning slowly over the top of it. It is the detail that rewards picking the watch up, and it is the only place on the dial where anything moves slowly enough to watch.
Around it the dial stays deliberately calm: flat gloss black with a white outer track, so the forged carbon bezel above has something quiet to sit against instead of competing with it. The hour, minute and counter hands are gold.
How This One Is Put Together
Cut the lugs open, forge the bezel, then leave the dial alone.
The Case
A 40mm steel case is machined from solid and the lugs are cut through into open frames, then finished inside the openings.
The Screws
A dark six-point star screw is seated into each lug opening, which is what holds the strap bar and what you see through the gap.
The Bezel
Forged carbon is cut and polished until the grey marbling shows at the edges, then given a gloss black tachymeter insert with the scale cut in white.
The Counter
The six o'clock register is openworked into a silver lattice of shards and fitted with a small gold cross-shaped hand.
The Strap
A woven nylon strap with a hook-and-loop fastening and a steel keeper is fitted, and the movement is checked through the display back.

Why The Case Is The Story
A case cut open where every other case is solid is slow, careful work and it is priced for it. This one asks $949.
THE HOLLOW LUG SPEC
40mm polished steel case with hollow-cut lugs, forged carbon bezel, gloss black dial with a white outer ring and an openworked counter at six, gold hands, and a woven nylon strap. Hand-inspected, boxed for presentation, backed for two years.
