CURVED TONNEAU · SCARLET RED CASE · BLUE GUILLOCHÉ DIAL · AUTOMATIC JUMPING HOUR
Twelve Hours, None In Order
The numerals run round the dial in a scrambled ring, and the hour hand jumps to each one in turn.
Read clockwise from the top, the dial says 8, 1, 6, 11, 4, 9, 2, 7, 12, 5, 10, 3. Every hour is there once, just not where you expect it. The hour hand does not sweep round as usual: it jumps to each numeral in turn as the hours pass, wherever on the dial that numeral sits, while the long hand keeps the minutes.
The numerals are large white serifs with curling tails, edged in a fine dark line, and they crowd right to the edge of the dial. The biggest sit along the top and the bottom; the ones on the narrow sides are smaller and turned to follow the curve of the case.
Under them the dial is deep indigo blue, with a guilloché pattern radiating from the centre, and there is nothing else on it: no markers, no minute track, no date.

THE CASE
A Scarlet Tonneau, Curved To The Wrist
A barrel-shaped case in red-coated steel, curved along its whole length.
The tonneau is the barrel shape: taller than it is wide, the sides bowed outward and widest at the middle, the top and bottom ends straight. This one also curves along its length, so from the side it is a shallow arc that follows the top of the wrist, and the domed crystal follows it.
It is 316 stainless steel under a hard-wearing PVD coating in bright scarlet red, satin rather than glossy, and it measures 39.5 by 55 mm. There is no separate bezel and nothing screwed or set into it, only a narrow red rim round the crystal and one large white fluted crown on the right.
The strap runs straight out from under the ends of the case: smooth navy-blue rubber, plain, closed with a glossy white pin buckle.
How The Scrambled Dial Comes Together
A blue guilloché dial, twelve white numerals out of order and two steel hands, in a curved red case.
The Blue Dial
A deep indigo-blue dial with a guilloché pattern of fine wavy lines radiating from its centre.
Twelve Numerals
Large white serif numerals go round it out of order, 8 at the top, the ones at the sides turned to follow the case.
The Lettering
White lettering goes above and below the centre, with two tiny words at the bottom edge, and nothing else: no markers, no date.
Steel Hands
Two polished-steel leaf hands filled with white, the hour hand set to jump from numeral to numeral.
Into The Red Case
The dial goes under a domed crystal in the curved scarlet case, with the white crown and the automatic jumping-hour movement behind it.

Why The Scrambled Hours Work
A dial is the one thing everyone reads without thinking. This one makes you look twice: every hour is there, none of them where it should be, and the hour hand jumps to find each one. In a curved scarlet case, it asks $799.
